Unique because of the combined instruments (piano, violin, saxophone), the energetic performances and the passionate search for new repertoire, the Kugoni Trio has been a regular guest on national and international concert stages since it’s creation in 2010.
In Belgium, the Kugoni Trio has been playing in halls such as the ‘Henry Leboeuf’ hall of the ‘Palais des Beaux-Arts’ (Bozar) an Flagey in Brussels, the ‘Academiezaal’ in Sint-Truiden, the ‘Concertgebouw’ of Bruges or ‘AMUZ’ in Antwerp.
They were invited to festivals such as ‘Iedereen Klassiek’ (Bruges), ‘Cultuurmarkt’ (Antwerp), ‘KlaraFestival’ (Brussels), ‘BumaClassical’ (Utrecht, NL) and ‘Festival Van Vlaanderen’ (Kortrijk). Furthermore they have been performing on numerous occasions in the Netherlands, France and Germany.

Kugoni Trio has recorded for Radio Klara, Musiq3 (Belgian classical radios), Radio 4 (Dutch classical Radio), and the Belgian television Cultuur7 and Canvas. Because of their great interest in Belgian music, the Kugoni Trio has become an inspiration to several contemporary composers. They commission several pieces a year and created pieces by a.o. Jan Van Damme, Wilfried Westerlinck Ruud Roelofsen, Benjamien Lycke, Jeroen d’Hoe, Paul Steegmans, Jan Van Landeghem, Bernd Van Hulle and Erik Desimpelaere.

The trio recently became a laureate of Supernova (previously Gouden Vleugels) in November 2013 and was the first prize winner at the ‘Forte’ competition in February 2015. After taking part in the recording of Wilfried Westerlincks CD ‘Mockingbird’, this is it’s first full CD ‘Timelapse’.
