Once upon a time, at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, a guitarist and a pianist shared a great passion for chamber music, and a tremendous faith in music as the universal language of the heart. They quickly developed a close friendship and decided that they wanted their instruments to harmonize and tell stories together…

Four years later, we have ventured deeper into the enchanted forest of music for guitar and piano than we had ever dreamt possible. This CD, our first recording, tells the story of the musical journey that started when we discovered Fantasia by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and which ultimately led us to very personal transcription work with music by Debussy and Ravel.

The narrative qualities of the music we have chosen transcend our personal stories, however, and take the listener to the magical reality behind the notes. We are very pleased to invite you to join us in discovering that world, to immerse yourself in it and – even if only for a moment – to live happily ever after...
