Maurice Clement

Maurice Clement is one of the most versatile and innovative organists, pianists et music teachers in Luxembourg. After his music studies at the Luxembourg and Brussels Conservatoires with Alain Wirth, Jean Ferrard and Benoît Mernier respectively, Maurice Clement completed his organ studies with Jean Boyer at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon. His passion for traditional organ music as well as for improvisation regularly allows the current resident organist of the Luxembourg Philharmonie Concert Hall to be a much acclaimed guest and soloist to international festivals in New York, Washington, Chicago, Minneapolis, Paris, Lyon, Brussels, Zürich, Munich, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Vienna, Innsbruck, Prague, Milan and Copenhagen. Maurice Clement, laureate of the International Silberman Competition, masters his instrument through a constant dialogue with it. Parallel to his capacity as Professor of Organ at the Conservatoire de Musique du Nord in Luxembourg, he leads this institution’s improvisation classes.
